In Montana, Biomimicry 3.8 and Blue Marble, both located in Missoula, created a new partnership to accelerate innovation, decrease time to market, and provide an overall reduction in costs associated with disruptive and incremental innovation in sectors including agriculture, construction, cosmetics and personal care, food and beverage, ingredients, and new materials.

According to their press release, the partnership will deliver a complete innovation solutions service that more effectively moves bio-inspired innovation through the entire lifecycle of product development. The partnership combines biological intelligence, design thinking, concept development, and rapid prototyping in a process that delivers more cost-effective and life friendly solutions to the marketplace.

“Biomimicry 3.8 uses nature’s inherently sustainable solutions to help drive innovation. Blue Marble’s work to use waste and feedstock as raw materials means that together we can more quickly advance sustainable products to the marketplace. It’s what we like to call feeding two birds with one scone,” said Janine Benyus, Biomimicry 3.8 Co-founder.
