BP outlines 3-pronged biofuels strategy, says biobutanol plant will open at commercial scale in 2013

In Nebraska, Cargill won the auction for the assets of the as-yet uncompleted 110 Mgy Altra Nebraska ethanol facility in Carleton.

Bunge to build up Itaqui as alternative Brazilian ethanol port
In Brazil, Vale and Bunge have announced a partnership to transport 26 Mgy of Bunge ethanol in 2010 via Vale rail to the Itaqui port in Maranhao state. The port will be an alternative to the more southerly ports of Santos and Paranagua.
Bunge is expected to ship up to 79 Mgy through Itaqui by 2012.
Abengoa to complete three new ethanol plants in Netherlands, US in Q1 2010, expands global capacity to 687 Mgy
