Biofuels Digest Index edges up 0.03 percent to 73.61 on agribusiness rise

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, edged up 0.03 percent yesterday to  73.61 as agribusiness and ethanol improved. For the day, The Andersons (ANDE) gained 1.13 percent to $45.47, while BioFuel Energy (BIOF) jumped 12.26 percent to close at $1.19.  Among small caps, Pure Biofuels (PBOF.OB) fell 3.23 percent to $0.30.  Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.

Biofuels Digest Index jumps 1.91 percent to 73.59, halting week-long slide

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 1.91 percent yesterday to 73.59 ending a three-day slide. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.82 percent to $25.70, while Cosan (CZZ) gained 0.50 percent to close at $12.11.  Among small caps, Raven Biofuels (RVBN) gained 21.95 percent to close at $0.50.  Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.

Biofuels Digest Index falls 0.63 percent to all time low of 72.21 on agribusiness, ethanol woe

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 0.63 percent Tuesday to close at an all-time low of 72.21 as ethanol and agribusiness plunged. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 0.67 percent to $25.24, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) lost 6.67 percent to close at $5.60. Among small caps, Great Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) lost 4.65 percent to close at $6.77.  Overall, declines led advances 5 to 1 for the day.

Biofuels Digest Index falls 1.08 percent to all-time low of 72.67 on broad market sell-off

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.08 percent Monday to close at an all-time low of 72.67 amidst a large equity selloff on world markets. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 3.05 percent to $25.41, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) lost 4.20 percent to close at $1.14. Among small caps, Momentum Biofuels (MMBF.OB) lost 54.55 percent to close at $0.25.  Overall, declines and advances were even for the day.

Biofuels Digest Index falls 1.28 percent to close at 73.46 on agribusiness dip

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.28 percent Friday to close at 73.46 as agribusiness and petroleum fell while ethanol recovered. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 1.28 percent to $26.21, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) gained 1.82 percent to $6.14. Among small caps, Momentum Biofuels (MMBF.OB) gained 83.33 percent to close at $0.55.  Overall, declines and advances were even for the day.

Biofuels Digest Index gains 0.88 percent on agribusiness rise, ethanol slide

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 0.88 percent Thursday to close at 74.41 as agribusiness improved, despite ethanol weakness.   For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.88 percent to close at $26.55, while British Petroleum (BP) gained 1.65 percent to $58.40. Among small caps, Raven Biofuels (RVBF.OB) declined 13.95 percent to $0.37.  Overall, declines led advances 3 to 2 for the day.

Biofuels Digest Index gains 0.83 percent to 73.76 on agribusiness, ethanol improvement

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 0.83 percent Wednesday to close at 73.76 as agribusiness improved and ethanol generally firmed.   For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 2.84 percent to close at $26.06, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) jumped 3.57 percent to $6.39. Among small caps, Raven Biofuels (RVBF.OB) declined 8.51 percent to $0.43.  Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.

Biofuels Digest Index falls 0.65 percent to 73.15, new all-time low

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 0.65 percent Tuesday to a new all-time low of 73.15 as ethanol stocks tumbled. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland fell 0.51 percent to close at $25.34. while VeraSun Energy (VSE) fell 7.25 percent to close at $6.40. Among small caps, Algodyne Ethanol (AYDN.PK) fell 40.00 percent to close at $0.06. .  Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.

Biofuels Digest Index falls 0.90 percent to all-time low of 73.63 as ethanol wanes

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 0.90 percent Monday to an all-time low of 73.63 as ethanol and agribusiness weakened. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland fell 2.79 percent to close at $25.47. while Aventine Renewables (AVR) fell 9.15 percent fell 9.09 percent to close at $6.45. Among small caps, Panda Ethanol (PDAE) fell 35.80 percent to $0.52.  Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.

Biofuels Digest Index falls 2.26 percent to 74.30 on ethanol, agribusiness slide

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 2.26 percent Friday to an all-time low of 74.30 as ethanol, petroleum and agribusiness slid.For the day, British Petroleum (BP) fell 2.23 percent to close at $57.52, while The Andersons (ANDE) fell 3.67 percent to close at $44.10. Among small caps, Nove Biosource Fuels (NBF) lost 26.67 percent to close at $0.22.  Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
