In Brazil, Reuters is reporting that the national government has approved two varietal of genetically modified corn, produced by Monsanto and Syngenta; the modifications increase corn’s resistance to pests and herbicides. USDA accepting comments on Syngenta petition to deregulate a genetically engineered corn seed
