14 biofuels companies named to AlwaysOn 100; ZeaChem is category winner
In California, AlwaysOn named ZeaChem as the Category winner for biofuels and agriculture in its AlwaysOn 100. Amyris Biotechnologies, Aurora Biofuels, Evolutionary Genomics, Genomatica, Joule Biotechnologies, KiOR, LanzaTech, LS9, Mendel Biotechnology, Performance Plants, Qteros, Segetis, SG Biofuels and Synthetic Genomics were the other biofuel companies named as AlwaysOn 100 award winners.
The companies were selected by the AlwaysOn editorial team and industry experts based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz. “The GoingGreen Top 100 winners have excelled in key strategic areas in the global clean energy technology markets,” said Tony Perkins, founder and CEO of AlwaysOn. “We congratulate them for their success in introducing new tools, services, and systems that are driving the next phase of greentech innovation and transforming the biggest industries on earth.” A full list of the winners can be found at
