In the Philippines, Bizminded Concepts has proposed a 110,000 hectare, 20 Mgy biodiesel project to the Regional Development Council in Western Visayas his company’s intention to operate in the region. The US-based firm said that it will invest up to $55 million for biofuel refinery plants, and coconut, sunflower, and jatropha feedstock farms.
The company said that it would utilize intercropping to supplant old-growth crops, while adding jatropha, sunflower, malunggay and algae.
