African biofuels webinar explores potential of cassava, cassava waste for biofuels

In Nigeria, the “Using the Internet to help African Agriculture” Biofuels Webinar will be conducted on July 9th, organized by FADO Capital.  Nigeria is the world’s largest producer of cassava. FADU is a union of over half a million Nigerian farmers and is currently proposing arrangements with the National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) in the UK to establish a co-operation on the establishment of a BioFuels programme utilizing cassava, cassava waste products and other suitable crops and waste products, suitable for the production of bioethanol and biodiesel.

FADU is also making arrangements to establish a co-operation with the Kuapa Kokoo co-operative in Ghana in this regard.
