In Louisiana, a state Senate committee has advanced a proposal that would increase a tax credit to 50 percent for the cost of converting vehicles to renewable fuels or power. The Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Committee agreed to move forward the proposal, which raises the credit from 20 percent for conversions to the use of natural gas, biofuels, or green power.
