Xebec, QuestAir merge: case studies available for enlarged biogas purification group

In Canada, Xebec Adsorption and QuestAir Technologies announced their merger.

Xebec’s proprietary adsorption technology is used to remove impurities such as sulphur, water vapour and carbon dioxide from natural gas, hydrogen and other gases, enabling the purified gases to be used in process applications as well as to power vehicles, generate electricity and heat homes.

Under the agreement former Xebec Adsorption shareholders now hold approximately 45 percent of the common shares of Xebec and former QuestAir shareholders hold approximately 55 percent of the common shares of Xebec.

A case study is here on the Xebec gas purification system at the 3,450-cattle Scenic View Dairy in Fennville, Michigan upgrading waste biogas generated from the anaerobic digestion of manure into renewable natural gas, which is piped to 2,000 Michigan Gas Utilities customers. A second case study, on purification of biogas generated from two million tonnes of waste annually at the Rumpke Ohio landfill into pipeline grade natural gas, which is piped to 25,000 homes, is here.
