Methes receives $4.8 million from Canadian government in support of biodiesel project
In Canada, Methes Energies Canada announced that it will receive $4.8 million over a seven year period ending in 2015, under an agreement it has signed with Natural Resources Canada under the the ecoENERGY for Biofuels program.
The contribution has been granted for Methes’ 1.9 Mgy biodiesel facility located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
The ecoENERGY for Biofuels Program supports the production of renewable alternatives to gasoline and diesel, as well as encourages the development of a competitive domestic industry for renewable fuels. The program provides an operating incentive to facilities that produce renewable alternatives to gasoline and diesel in Canada.
