In the UK, Helius Energy announced that the biomass-to-power concern recorded a first-half profit of $30,000 compared to a loss of $1.863 million in the corresponding period last year. The company also said that it has $26.7 million cash in hand and has secured a site at the Port of Bristol for “a large biomass power plant,” has received planning permission for its biomass-to-power project at Rothes in Morayshire.
