Vilsack, Chu, Jackson to announce EPA ruling tomorrow on indirect land use change, RFS

In Washington, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson will hold a conference call to brief reporters on President Obama’s commitment to advance biofuels research and commercialization and to unveil a notice of proposed rulemaking on the Renewable Fuel Standard.

The EPA ruling has been expected this week, and is expected to include indirect land use change, or other allowances for indirect emissions, following the ratification of the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard last week by the California Air Resources Board.

The call will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5, at 10am EDT, and Biofuels Digest will report live on the comments and announcements by Administrator Jackson and comments by Secretaries Chu and Vilsack.
