In Washington, the EPA announced that it is seeking public review and comment on the proposed E15 ethanol waiver. The waiver application, filed by Growth Energy and 54 ethanol producers, seeks to increase the amount of ethanol that can be blended for non flex-fuel vehicles from 10 percent to 15 percent.
The comment period will be open for 30 days after the notice is published in the Federal Register. Current statute calls for EPA to make a decision by December 1, 2009.
