In Rhode Island, the state Senate finance committee voted in favor of a bill that extends biodiesel tax exemption to blended biodiesel fuels. The current biodiesel tax exemption, worth 30 cents per gallon, is extended only to companies that manufacture or sell B100 unblended biodiesel. The bill will now move to the full Senate for passage.
