In the Philippines, Basic Energy confirmed that it continues to proceed with its proposed Zamboanga City ethanol plant, but confirmed that the company is still seeking investment for the cassava-based ethanol project. In conjunction with Nexum Energy and Eco-marketfarms, Basic has proposed a 19 Mgy project, that will also produce up to 8 MW of power from methane.
