Public university group launches all-out effort to secure funds from stimulus, new budget focus on energy; forms energy initiative advisory committee

In Washington, NASULGC, an association of public universities, established a 15-member public university Energy Initiative Advisory Committee that will advise the group on ways and means to advance the contributions of public research universities to the energy independence effort. The group will focus on congressional appropriations related to renewables, including preparing technical presentations and funding proposals.
