In the Philippines, Green Gold Ray Energies announced the construction of a three-hectare jatropha demonstration farm in Libertad, Agusan del Sur. The company said it would intercrop jatropha with vegetable plantings to add to local food production. Jatropha seeds were planted last week. The company also said it would construct a biodiesel refinery within the 1650-acre HIJO estate in Tagum City on Mindanao. The company has acquired 7300 acres in Agusan Del Norte as well as smaller plots in Davao Province and on Camiguin Island.
