In Argentina, Carbio is projecting that Argentine installed biodiesel capacity will increase nearly by a factor of four between 2008 and 2015, while production will increase by a factor of nearly five, from 750,000 tons per year to 3.5 million tpy. The Carbio trade association group also said that 90 percent of current production goes towards exports, although Argentina has established a national B5 biodiesel mandate that will take effect in 2010.
