In Louisiana, the $138 million 75 Mgy Dynamic Fuels project in Geismar is on track to open in early 2010 featuring a Syntroleum process that will convert Tyson Foods chicken fat into green diesel and aviation fuel. The Syntroleum technology converts low-grade fats, oils and greases that cannot be used for animal feed to biofuels. Plant construction commenced last October at a 23-acre site. Demolition of a previous facility was completed in January.
