AT&T to buy 15,000 alt-energy vehicles over next 10 years

In Washington, AT&T announced that they will invest $565 million between now and 2019 to convert 15,000 vehicles to compressed natural gas, hybrids and other advanced fuel systems. The company said that it would buy 8,000 compressed natural gas powered vans from Ford over the next five years, as well as 7,100 other vehicles using primarily hybrids from Ford and Toyota, including gas-electric as well as plug-in electric models.
