The Illinois state government has approved a $4 million grant from the state Renewable Fuels Development fund towards the $120 Illinois River Energy million corn ethanol project slated for the Northern Stateland region. The project will add 50 Mgy in capacity and create 40 new jobs, and be co-located with the existing 50 Mgy corn ethanol plant.
