At LinkedIn:  Brent Erickson, Executive Vice President at Biotechnology Industry Organization: “Stimulus Package recently passed by Congress contained the following biofuels provisions: Division A, Title V, Energy and Water (based on Senate bill) Additional funding for DOE EERE Program (Pg. 62) $2 billion has been allocated to the DOE Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy program for energy efficiency and renewable energy research, development, demonstration and deployment activities to accelerate the development of technologies . A minimum of $800 million of this is dedicated for biomass RDD&D. The Biomass Program was funded at $198 million for FY07 and FY08.”
