Energy Grains Biomass announced a multi-year agreement to supply corn stover to NextStep Biofuels; will operate two ethanol plants in its own right

In Nebraska, Energy Grains Biomass announced a multi-year agreement to supply corn stover and other cellulosic ethanol feedstock to NextStep Biofuels. EGB, which is also investigating the aggregation of soybean stubble, wheat straw, milo stubble, and forage sorghum among other feedstocks, also announced that it would own and operate two cellulosic ethanol plants in central Nebraska by 2012. The company did not disclose whether it would convert existing facilities or construct new capacity.
