In Texas, Earth Biofuels said that it would change its name to Evolution Energy and will issue a new ticker symbol within 30 days.
The company, best known for its association with singer Willie Nelson and his BioWillie brand of biodiesel, said that its goals will be: Completion of a commercial scale cellulosic ethanol production facility in Washington state; cellulosic and biodiesel projects in the Delta region of Mississippi and Louisiana; development of transportation fuel markets for higher blends of ethanol; conversion of the Durant, Oklahoma biodiesel plant for animal fats and reclaimed cooking grease as feedstocks; and establishment of at least two additional truck stops similar to the Willie’s Place Truck Stop in Texas, in which the company owns a 50 percent stake.
