Novozymes to cut cost of cellulosic ethanol enzymes by 50 percent, targets CE total costs of $2.50 per gallon

In Denmark, Novozymes announced that they will cut the cost of enzymes used in cellulosic ethanol by 50 percent to 50 cents per gallon by 2010. The company said that, combined with other increases in CE efficiency, the overall cost of cellulosic ethanol would drop from $3.50 per gallon today to $2.50.
