Today in Biofuels Opinion: “I’m not against ethanol. I just think that it’s time to let it stand on its own.”

Minnesota state representative Tina Liebling: “I’m not against ethanol. I just think that it’s time to let it stand on its own. We really need to be watching every dime and making sure every dime is well spent, ” upon co-sponsoring a bill to repeal the ethanol producer incentive payment program as well as the state’s  ethanol minimum content requirement.

From Houma Today: “The corn-based ethanol industry has gone from the prince of renewable energy to the pauper of alternative fuels in a short period of time, thanks to an ailing economy. Stepping up in its place is another form of ethanol that relies on agricultural waste, most notably sugar-cane byproducts.”
