Mission Biofuel proposes India’s first biodiesel plant with $71 million jatropha project

In India, Mission Biofuel India has proposed a $71 million jatropha-based biodiesel project in Orissa, in the eastern section of the country on the Bay of Bengal. The project would be the first biodiesel plant in India, and would utilize feedstock grown in western Orissa, one of the poorest sections of the country. India continues with a 20 percent renewable fuel target for 2017.
