Pacific Ethanol shuts down production at 60 Mgy corn ethanol plant in Idaho
In Idaho, Pacific Ethanol announced that it will temporarily shut down production at its $120 million, 60 Mgy corn ethanol plant in Burley, citing economic conditions. Local officials in Burley said they have not been given a time horizon for the restart of the plant.
Earth Biofuels to change name, focus on development in Washington, Louisiana and Mississippi

USDA chief economist says 15 percent of US ethanol capacity may be idle, as Energy Informaion Administration cuts outlook for oil demand
