Green Plains acquires 51 percent of terminal operator Blendstar for $9.0 million from Bioverda

In Nebraska, Green Plains Renewable Energy announced that it has acquired a 51 percent stake in Blendstar, a biofuel terminal operator, for $9.0 million. The stake was purchased from Bioverda Holdings. Blendstar operates terminals in Oklahoma, Arkansas, tennessee and Alabama and has committed to construct terminals in Louisiana and Mississippi. Blendstar has a total capacity of 200 Mgy at its terminals, while Green Plains has a marketing capacity of 635 Mgy.
