In France, Proteus announced an agreement with Syngenta to develop enzymes for cellulosic ethanol production. Proteus offers industrial manufacturing capabilities, unique proprietary technologies including an exclusive biodiversity (source of new genes), protein engineering tools and a protein manufacturing platform to its partners.
Syngenta said that the agreement with Proteus will allow it to accelerate its development of optimized enzymes based on Syngenta’s core competency in plant expression.
