In Michigan, Franuhofer and the University of Michigan announced a program that will award $400,000 in seed grants for projects that support alternative transportation fuels. The Michigan Memorial Phoenix Energy Institute, the UM office of research and Franuhofer will select projects which must include researchers from both UM and Franuhofer, must have string prospects for commercialization, and be completed within two years.
