Iowa State research team receives $2.37 million for study of combined heat and power, gasification

Researchers at Iowa State University have received a $2.37 million grant from the Iowa Power Fund. The grant is to replace natural gas in ethanol projects with heat and power produced from biomass using gasification technologies. The research team will study the applications of syngas, including ethanol production.
