In Brazil, the National Petroleum Agency revealed this week that, for the first time, ethanol sales are exceeding gasoline sales in the country. Sales of ethanol are up 44 percent to 4.2 billion gallons. 90 percent of Brazil’s cars are flex-fuel enabled, and ethanol is currently available at a $0.63 per liter price, compared to $1.07 per liter for gasoline.”
