China, Indonesia sign 4 agreements for expansion of Indonesian fossil fuel use; one biodiesel development agreement

In China, the Chinese and Indonesian governments have signed agreements on a total of eight mining and energy projects worth $3.13 billion. Among the deals, a total of five energy projects including four coal-fired power plants totaling 2.56 MW of power, part of an overall goal for construction of 10,000 megawatts of new coal-fired power.

A lone biodiesel agreement, to develop processing plants in Jambi and South Sumatra, were the only renewable energy elements of the accord.
