In Delaware, Maas Companies announced that the 5 Mgy Mid-Atlantic Biodiesel plant will be auctioned on January 22nd. The plant was opened in 2007 and ran for six months before being idled by economic conditions.
The plant is in “move-in” condition, according to the auctioneers, and the winning bidder will be required to assume a lease from Norfolk Southern, the railroad which owns the refinery property and the rail siding connecting the plant with the main line.
