In Texas, Environmental Power announced that its Huckabay Ridge facility had commenced deliveries of renewable natural gas, generated by anaerobic digesters from manure, to California’s PG&E. Delivery volumes were not available, but the Environmental Power facility has a capacity of 635,000 MMBTUs per year, or enough to power 15,000 homes. The company has a 10-year delivery contract with PG&E to deliver 2.92 million MMBtus per year of renewable fuels, and is developing a total of five new plants in Texas and California to meet its projected orders. Environmental Power (EPG) stock rose 37.10 percent yesterday on the news, closing at $0.85.
