In Canada, the 39 Mgy Integrated Grain Processors Co-operative corn ethanol plant has opened in Aylmer, Ontario. The $140 million project will also produce 120,000 tonnes of dried distillers grains. The Canadian Renewable Fuels Association noted that the Canadian 5 percent ethanol content mandate would result in a reduction in CO2 emissions of 4.2 million tonnes per year.
