In California, SunPower BioDiesel announced that it has selected Greenline Industries waterless biodiesel platform for its 3Mgy multi-feedstock biodiesel plant in Cumberland. The proposed plant will primarily utilize canola oil, and will distribute fuel to the Wisconsin and Minnesota markets and support the Minnesotan B2 biodiesel mandate.
SunPower said that Greenline offered superior flexibility in supporting smaller production capacity. quick start-up and shutdown, the ability to run at half or full capacity, and superior environmental characteristics.
