Dynamotive Energy announces China pyrolysis project; up to 10 planned by Chinese partners using corn stover as feedstock
In China, Dynamotive Energy Systems announced that it had partnered with Great China New Energy Technology Services to launch a pyrolysis plant in Henan provinvce that will utilize the company’s proprietary technology. Great China will be the licensor of the Dynamotive technology, while Hubei Xinda Bio-Oil Technology will develop the new plant.
The Chinese companies announced that they have secured 900,000 tons of corn stover as feedstock for up to 10 new pyrolysis plants, suggesting an initial capacity of 6-10 Mgy in capacity for each pyrolysis facility. Dynamotive, under the agreement, will receive $2.3 million in technical support fees. The companies said that they had secured financing, but construction dates were not disclosed.
