In New Zealand, Air New Zealand delayed its historic biodiesel test flight scheduled for tomorrow (December 3), after the crash of an Airbus A320 of the coast of France on a training flight. The plane carried four Air New Zealand staff members, and the plane was reportedly leased from the airline. Air New Zealand had previously scheduled to test a jatropha-based B50 biodiesel blend in one of four 747 engines in a 2-hour test flight out of Auckland, The downed plane was operated by XL Airways Germany, which had been testing the aircraft for return to Air New Zealand service.
