Leyte Agri Corp partners with Praj, launches first Philippine ethanol plant

In the Philippines, Leyte Agri Corp announced a partnership with India’s Praj Industries to develop a 2 Mgy sugarcane ethanol plant, and said that the company has already commenced distilling operations. The plant is the first operating ethanol facility in the Philippines.  The 10 Mgy San Carlos plant in Negros Occidental is expected to open before year end.
