The executive director of the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council said that the organization will transition itself into a core unit of the new organization, Growth Energy. Growth Energy has two major initiatives. The first is to address the food vs fuel issue through education and outreach. The second is to persuade Congress and the EPA to increase the ethanol blending cap to E15 or E20.
