In Pennsylvania, Bard Biofuel Advance Research & Development announced that it will construct a 60 Mgy soybean-based biodiesel plant that will commence operation in 2009 in Fairless Hills. Company management said that the plant will commence using algae, produced onsite, as a feedstock in 2010. The plant is located at the Keystone Industrial Port Complex that has spouted with hi-tech business on the site of a defunct steel mill. Pipeline and infrastructure company Kinder Morgan is among the other tenants of the 3500 acre facility.
