In the UK, designer Gilo Cardozo is readying his biofuel-powered Skycar for a London-to-Sahara journey. The Skycar uses a giant paramotor, attached to a car frame, for propulsion, and a flexible wing (similar to a parachute) for lift.
The Skycar has a flight speed of 110 kph and a range of 300 km. On the road, the Skycar has a top speed of 180 kph and a range of 400 km.
The car can deploy a parachute in case of flight difficulties, and is powered by ethanol.
