In Florida, Freedom Environmental announced plans to acquire a biodiesel producer that it would not name, saying that the target company had operations in Florida and Pennsylvania, has 30 Mgy in production capacity and has 1200 waste oil collection contracts. The company also announced that it has signed a waste oil collection contract with Dunkin Donuts franchisees in Florida. Previously, the company had announced a similar deal with McDonald’s franchisees in Florida, and now says it has sufficient feedstock resources to support a 30 Mgy biodiesel production capacity.
