In Ohio, The Andersons reported third quarter results, and said that profits fell by 30 percent in the Grains & Ethanol Group from $13.7 million to $9.4 million. The company said that its three-plant ethanol portfolio had swung from an $8.8 million profit in the same period last year, to a $2.0 million loss in 2008.
