University of Illinois receives $2 million from NSF to study Midwestern biofuel infrastruture needs, development impact

The University of Illinois received $2 million from the National Science Foundation to study transportation infrastructure required for the Midwestern biofuels industry. The study will examine the extent to which existing ag industry infrastructure can be used, and how and where to construct supplemental infrastruture. The research will also examine the impact of biofuel development on land and water usage, as well as climate.
