In Nebraska, the Clean Fuels Foundation released a white paper titled ” Ethanol Economics from Ranch to Restaurant”. The author is Jim Jenkins, Chairman of the Nebraska Ethanol Board (NEB), who is also a cattle rancher and restauranteur. The paper offers a unique look at the impact of grain prices on both the ethanol and cattle businesses. Jenkins writes: “The advent of the biofuel industry is helping lead America out of decades of stagnant commodity prices—while, for the first time, providing consumers with a viable fuel choice for their vehicles.” The Clean Fuels Foundation released the paper as part of its Ethanol Across America education campaign, which is chaired by Senators Ben Nelson (D-NE) and Richard Lugar (R-IN).
