In Mexico, the U.S. Grains Council director for Mexico and Central America said that Mexico is currently the leading importer of dried distillers grains, importing 708,000 metric tons last year, and 699,000 tons in the first eight months of 2008. Canada, with 317,000 tons imported last year, is second. The potential market in Mexico was estimated at 4 million tons.
