The Department of Energy and the EPA jointly released the 2009 Fuel Economy Guide, providing consumers with fuel efficiency, annual petroleum usage, and CO2 emission scores for 2009 model vehicles. The guide also includes information on hybrids, flex fuel vehicles, and fuel cells. The clean-diesel Volkswagen Jetta joined numerous hybrids at the top of the list for fuel economy.
